Principal's Message

Welcome to Rancho Pico!
I am honored to be Rancho Pico’s principal and excited about the 2022-2023 school year! I am grateful to serve Rancho Pico as principal after being a science teacher, assistant principal, and principal at other schools. I served as an assistant principal at Rancho Pico for over six years before moving on to different positions. I enjoy working with the Rancho Pico students, staff, and community.

Rancho Pico’s staff embraces the middle school philosophy and focuses on teaching the whole child. We address our students' cognitive, social, emotional, intellectual, and physical aspects. Our teams allow students to have a sense of belonging and to feel a part of something smaller while still having access to our comprehensive campus.

Rancho Pico’s expectations are high for student behavior and academic success. We value mutual respect, hard work, kindness, equity, and teamwork. This year we are fully implementing PBIS and celebrating our students who “D.A.S.H.” - Do the Right thing, Act Responsibly, Show Respect, and Have Integrity.

Students have various opportunities to pursue through our core curricula, exploratories, clubs, and after-school enrichment.  Our theme this year is “Think Ahead.” As part of our district’s strategic plan, our students will be Opportunity Ready for their future.

I look forward to a great year partnering with students and parents.
