Homework:Complete Ch 2 on Word Choice and Ch 3 assignment on Suspense and Tone for Hoot (have your work proofread) ALSO: Study the Vocabulary Words for Chapters 1-7. There will be a test on these after Chapter 7.

1. Edit your final essay using the checklist handout I gave you in class. PRINT your final essay to bring to next class 
2. Finish your Work Cited page in Google Docs. Print your Works Cited page and staple to the back of your printed essay
3. Turn in your template and your essay in Google Classroom once you have printed it out.
4. Bring your stapled 1). rubric, 2). essay 3). Works Cited page to class on 11/22 odd day students or 11/27 for even day students. NOTE if you are absent bring your finished work on the day you return from your absence.

• Begin your Starved Rock Park essay, you can finish this at home. Make sure it is printed out and proofread for next class.

1. Finish typing your summary paragraph in Google Classroom. Next, print out your Summary Paragraph from Google Drive and bring it to class (log on to your gmail account and click on the waffle, then click on Drive, then click on your English folder. Your typed summary will be located in your English folder. Open your document and click on the printer). You may also print in from Google Classroom if you have not already "turned it in" today in class. 
2. Complete the noredink.com assignments on conjunctions (FANBOYS)

1. Complete all 8 assignments on Noredink.com for comparatives, superlatives, adjectives, verbs and adjectives

• Pass out Seventh Grade and Acceptance assignment and model for students my expectation for responsding to literature in writing. Citing textual evidence can be giving a few examples from the story. I will teach how to cite using parenthetical citation later on. We will complete questions 1, 2, and 3 in class and I will give you sentence starters for questions 4-7, which you will complete at home. (NOTE: Make sure you have all your written work proofread for spelling, capitalization, grammar and punctuation before turning  it in for a grade

1. Have at least one parent/guardian sign up for my webpage. Please show them how to do this just like we did in class. Make sure they use the parent/guardian option as opposed to the student option. Both or just one parent may sign up. If you are a twin or triplet, your parent only need to list one of your names at the bottom, as many parent do not have the same last name as their child. 
2. Create and print out your portfolio cover. Make sure you print it out in color. If you do not have a color printer, please find a classmate that does so you can email it to them and have them print it out or email it to a parents work and perhaps they can print it for you. 
3. Please turn in your signed syllabus and have a parent sign page 4 in your planner if you have not yet done so.
