She is probably my absolute favorite author at the moment. I love her books. They are so engaging. They are good versus evil and fantasy. 

If you enjoyed reading The Outsiders, you should check out other books by S.E. Hinton. All of her books deal with teens and teen issues. They are realistic and raw.

 

One of my favorites, besides The Outsiders is That Was Then, This is Now . It is about two boys. They are best friends, but as they grow up they start to grow in different directions. The main character, Mark, has to decide if he is going to protect his friend, or follow his beliefs about right and wrong. 

 

I highly recommend any of her books if you enjoyed The Outsiders.
