Mrs. O’Connell earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and her teaching credential from California State University, Northridge. She has taught at the high school level, worked as an elementary school librarian, and written professionally for Baxalta Pharmaceuticals. This is her second year at Rancho Pico.

Mrs. O’Connell has lived in Santa Clarita for over 22 years, and both of her children attend Hart Union schools. She enjoys exercise, reading, and entertaining. As often as possible, she travels with her family. You may spot her around town walking her beagle, Fudge, or riding her bike to Italia for a cold cut sandwich.
