Hart Union High School District is located in the Santa Clarita Valley in the northern part of Los Angeles County. Each grade is divided into three teams that consist of four core classes: English, History, Math and Science, a Physical Education class and an Exploratory class. Students rotate through a block schedule with odd classes one day and even classes the next day.
Currently there are three curricular band classes and two curricular string orchestra classes offered. In addition to curricular classes, jazz band is offered as a co-curricular class. There are approximately 180 students currently enrolled in band and orchestra classes.
The success of the band and orchestra program is due to the hard work of the administration, the parents, the community, the educators, and most importantly, the students.
