We have started the task in class last week, and all 7th grade teachers have decided to have students complete their essays this week as your assigned distance work.  Because you do not have the notes you compiled last week, you will be given extra time to work on the essay.  I am attaching the packet of resources and directions for you to finish your essay.

Your assignment is to use the research sources to write a multi-paragraph argumentative essay arguing whether or not tablets should replace textbooks at your school. Using more than one source, make sure you establish an argumentative claim, address potential counterarguments, and support your claim from the sources you have read. Develop your ideas clearly and use your own words, except when quoting directly or paraphrasing from the sources. Be sure to reference the sources by title, genre and or author when using details or facts directly from the sources.
Be sure to plan, draft, edit and revise your writing before turning it in. You may not work on this at home!

Your essay must include the following:
Name, period and date
Title
12 Font
Double spacing (no double-double spacing)
Intro paragraph
Body paragraphs
Concluding paragraphs
